Exposure tests substantiate that Galfan wire corrosion resistance improves over time,it’s twice as effective as galvanized (equivalent coating weight) at 8.5 years, three times better at 25 years and almost four times better at 50 years.Studies have been preformed that show the Galfan coating will remain intact for over 50 days at 300C.Another study done over a period of 50 days at 260C showed that Galfan coating remained ductile compared to galvanized which failed 2xwrap testing in under 25 days.Galfan coated wire can take more severe bending with virtually no cracking or flaking compared to galvanized wire.
